| "How Do You Build A Volcano ???" is frequently asked by webviewers. The U.S. Geological Survey's Learning Web has a nice paper volcano model to be printed and put together. The U.S. Forest Service's "Volcano World" Website has a nice list of "Building Volcano Models" complete with instructions, photos, suggestions, and comments. There are many commercial kits available too. The USGS Cascades Volcano Observatory does not necessarily endource any of the products, and, other than the USGS paper volcano, the current Webmaster has never built nor has ever seen any of the following model volcanoes and therefore cannot attest to how easy or nice or realistic, etc. they are. But they do look like fun. -- Webmaster, December 2000 |
