University of California at Davis, Department of Geology:
|
"The Geology Department at the University of California, Davis, offers programs leading to the Bachelor of Arts (A.B.), Bachelor of
Science (B.S.), Master of Science (M.S.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees. The Department presently has 16 full-time
faculty members, with additional Research Scientists and associated faculty. Currently, 55 undergraduate students are majoring in
geology; and the Department has 6 post docs and 33 graduate students.
Graduate students in our program pursue field, laboratory, and theoretical studies of geological and environmental problems. Many
conduct field studies in California, taking advantage of the Department's ideal field location, but students and faculty are working
nationally and internationally as well (please see Areas of Faculty Research). We encourage you to contact faculty members in your
field of interest and to visit the campus at your convenience."
