REPORT:
Depositional Processes in Large-Scale Debris-Flow Experiments

-- Jon J. Major, 1997,
Depositional Processes in Large-Scale Debris-Flow Experiments: IN: The Journal of Geology, 1997, vol.105, p.345-366

This study examines the depositional process and characteristics of deposits of large-scale experimental debris flows (to 15 cubic meters) composed of mixtures of gravel (to 32 millimeters), sand, and mud. The experiments were performed using a 95-meter-long, 2-meter-wide debris-flow flume that slopes 31 degrees. -- Major, 1997
