- Acoustic representation of earthquakes recorded by BLIS seismometer
Acoustic representation of earthquakes recorded by BLIS seismometer, with one hour reduced to one minute, from 1800-1900 UTC, on November 14, 2004. BLIS is located sever hundred meters to the east of the new dome. This clip is sped up by a factor of 60. Note that this is not how earthquakes actually sound, as the peak frequencies in an actual earthquake (10-12 Hz) are much lower than our ears can hear. Note that the time between events is greater than on the November 4, 2004 clip and that the events are a little larger as well.
