Example of a Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) site like those proposed for Mount Rainier. This site was installed in Wilderness due west of Middle Sister in Oregon.

Example of solar panel mast, similar to that proposed for Rainier, used at a site at Mount St. Helens. The seismic/GPS sites will have four solar panels instead of two. A radio antenna is attached to the pole above and to the right of the solar panels, and a small GPS antenna (not the size to be used at Rainier) is attached to the left. Brown metal box at base is similar to those that will be used at Rainier.
